Dr. Leah Kobes-Jurgens grew up in North Spokane and spent much of her life in several small towns of Eastern Washington. She attended Washington State University and graduated with degrees in Music (trumpet) and Genetics. She worked as a nurse aide in a local assisted living facility, as well as a school bus driver. She attended medical school with the WWAMI program through the University of Washington, where she spent her first year in Pullman, WA and her second year in Spokane. She has always wanted to practice family medicine in a smaller town, and did several clinical rotations in Grand Coulee, WA and Colfax, WA. She moved to the area from Wilbur, WA to complete her residency at the Family Medicine Residency Spokane. Dr. Kobes-Jurgens is thrilled to be fulfilling her dream as a small-town doctor in Deer Park. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and is a member of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Washington Rural Health Association, and the Spokane County Medical Society. In July 2020, she opened her own private practice in Deer Park and is excited to serve the community long-term. As a family, they can always be found doing something together and particularly enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, wood working, cooking, playing music, and visiting with family.

Ryan D Agostinelli PA-C

Ryan is a native of the inland northwest. While growing up with his family in Post Falls Idaho, he recognized a personal desire to pursue a career in health care. Much of his interest was sparked by observing his father, who is a medical massage therapist, develop meaningful relationships with his patients. Since being certified as Physician Assistant in 2016, Ryan now experiences this for himself. He tries to approach an individual’s health according to their specific needs and desires. His personal philosophy towards practicing medicine draws on his belief that our bodies are often able to overcome health challenges naturally, if properly supported by healthy lifestyle habits, proper nutrition, psychological stability, and when appropriate, medical interventions such as pharmaceuticals. While primarily being trained under an allopathic (western medicine) philosophy, he hopes to be a lifelong learner and pursue furthering his education in alternative, more holistic, approaches.

Outside of the clinic, Ryan shares his life with his wonderful wife and two energetic daughters. They work to base their lives on Christian principles and are active participants in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Ryan is an aspiring fixer-upper/DIY’er around the home, though his wife might disagree . As a family, they love pursuing a life of self-reliance and natural living.

Pamela Schultz-Torosian DO

Dr Schultz-Torosian grew up in a military family, where she learned at a young age to live with the mindset of embracing the culture you are living in and to treat your neighbors as family. She comes to the Pacific NW from the east coast. Prior to her decision to pursue medicine, she worked as an EMT, in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and the Sports & Fitness industry. Her educational training prior to medical school includes a BS and MS in Kinesiology/Exercise Science (James Madison University and Washington State University, respectively). She attended medical school at Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate TN where she again embraced a new culture, that of rural America in the heart of Appalachia. She returned to Spokane after medical school to attend residency training at the Family Medicine Residency Spokane. Her upbringing and personal interests are centered around living an active lifestyle.

She practices medicine with a philosophy of focusing on the whole body and treating each as a true individual with the goal of improving overall wellness. Her practice is guided by evidence based modern medicine, but she appreciates a holistic approach as well. She holds a special interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine, as living an active lifestyle is thought to be the key to life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Her favorite place to be is outside. Activities of particular interest include running, triathlon, camping, hiking, learning to be an outdoorsman alongside her husband, and traveling to visit family throughout the US.
